After Le Web3: a web review

A few days after the end of LeWeb3, here’s a review of different articles about the conference.

On his blog, Peter Warne seems to be a bit sarcastic upon the conference and mainly upon people who were on stage: “They are all super interesting people, why do they feel the need to explain to 1,700 people in a room, all of whom work with the web, what Web 2.0 is? They could – and should – take it to a higher level. Frankly, you can get that sort of stuff from the technology pages of most newspapers.”

Shiny Red, a (snowy) blog where “you can catch (…) views on new media and communications”, explains here what “Le Web3″ is (for beginners only!) On day two, it describes the “more interesting discussions” of the conference. It mainly deals with Janus Friis, Skype founder. Back home, the author seems to be very happy after the conference: “I enjoyed this year’s Le Web much more than previous years.”

Do you remember Philippe Starck @ Le Web3? His speech attracted a lot of attention. Engadget.com remembers how he manipulated a Kindle. “A little sad”, he said. Here’s the video.

Let’s be serious. PC World goes back to the discussion which took place at the conference (day 3) about “identity theft and other downsides of Web 2.0″ and underlines the problem of anonymity. So does InfoWorld.

To finish, here are some 73 pictures of the conference…
