30 start-ups compete today in a marathon-like happening. 3 of them will get a prize from French private TV channel TF1. An important way of recognition that often cruelly lacks to young start-ups, who need funds to develop their project. Each of the “startahtletes” has only 7 minutes to present its brand new concept… People who attended the morning presentations have mixed opinions on what they’ve just seen.

Watch out: Zyb and Erepublik

“Nobody changed the rules of the game this morning”, according to Dickel Sooriah, a French businessman looking for webpartners that could develop its SMS-MMS company online and agregate many other interactive services. Too bad for him, Sooriah missed Zyb (photo), the first presentation of the day. Zyb is a danish start-up who postulates that “your real friends are not the ones on your Facebook, but the ones on your mobile phone”. Thus, Zyb created a “social phone book”, which allows you to put all the data of your mobile on your social network webpage.

According to a French Venture Capitalist looking for business investments, Zyb is also his favourite for the moment. Check also Erepublik, a new online multiplayer strategic, inspired both by VoW and Second Life: each Erepublik. A citizen who joins Erepublik has immediate challenges. How is he going to survive, how is going to grow? He can go whether into the military, politics, media, business… “Possibilities are endless”, according to the creators. More than in real life?
