He launched Pyra Labs in 1999 with Meg Hourihan. This company created the platform blogger.com which allows people to create their own blog.
In 2003, Google acquired Pyra Labs. Evan Williams left the company in 2004 to cofound Odeo, a podcasting company, with Noah Glass, the founder of Audioblog.
In 2006, he co-founded the company Obvious Corp., a web product development company and co-founder of Twitter, “a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”

Goojet: Startup Competition winner
So … the winner of the Web3 Startup Competition has been announced! The prize goes to French startup GooJet (i.e. Good Gadjet). GooJet beat out around 120 other companies for the honour. GooJet has created different widgets for mobile phones, in order to give access to community services and tools.
