Born on the 18th of January 1949 in Paris
He was educated in Paris at Ecole Nissim de Camondo, and in 1968, he founded his first design firm, specialized in inflatable objects.
He used to work with Pierre Cardin at first. President François Mitterrand asked him to refurnish one of the private apartments in the Elysee Palace, in 1962. His design is a mix of interior designs to mass produced consummer goods such as chairs, watches and even houses.
Philippe Starck is a kind of UFO on the network. He does not have any personnal blog for the moment. His vision of the web is to discover during the conference le Web 3 on tuesday at 11:00: what is social about design.

Goojet: Startup Competition winner
So … the winner of the Web3 Startup Competition has been announced! The prize goes to French startup GooJet (i.e. Good Gadjet). GooJet beat out around 120 other companies for the honour. GooJet has created different widgets for mobile phones, in order to give access to community services and tools.
